British Beatles Fan Club Events

The British Beatles Fan Club (BBFC) is run by fans for fans. We organise events such as regular get-togethers, parties at conventions, outings, special offers on concert tickets, etc. Some events are open to non-members, but for specials offers and discounts on tickets you have to be a club member. The next London Beatles Day of the year takes place this weekend, on Sunday 18th July 2010 at the usual venue—the Park Inn, Southampton Row, WC1. You will find thousands of Beatles items for sale at prices to suit every pocket!

The London Beatles Day was founded in 1990 by Steve Holmes, Rob Batchelor, Keith Badman and Jason Hobbs who between them have attended many conventions and fairs all over Europe and beyond!

The London Beatles Day has been attracting Beatles fans from all over the globe ever since, originally 2 shows a year were staged but due to increased demand this was increased to the current 4 shows per year. This enables fab 4 fans to come along and buy and trade their Fabs items on a regular basis keeping their collections updated, and of course to come along to meet all the other fans & collectors in the comfort of the recently refurbished Park Inn.

Lennon at 70

To complete a weekend of events commemorating the 70th anniversary of John Lennon's birthday, the renowned Beatles act Sgt. Pepper's Only Dart Board Band will host a celebration of Beatles and Lennon music on Sunday 10th October 2010, with all profits going to the Nordoff Robbins charity for music therapy.

Musselburgh-based Eastern Exhibition & Display has produced and installed the White Feather: The Spirit of Lennon exhibition, which has been opened at the Beatles Story in Liverpool by Julian and Cynthia Lennon and runs until 31st December 2009.

It tells the emotional and intimate personal story of the life of the Lennon family. Throughout the exhibition Julian and Cynthia recollect their memories, experiences and emotions of their lives with John. The story is brought to you through personal interviews, family photos and the Lennons' unseen collection of memorabilia.

Beatle Week Festival

25th–31st August 2010

Organised by Cavern City Tours, the International Beatle Week Festival is one of the biggest music events in the world. And it takes place in the city where it all began—Liverpool.

There is so much to do and see that you do not need to be a Beatle fan to enjoy the festival, though it probably helps!

This is truly an international event with bands from over 20 countries and fans from over 40. As well as live gigs, there are exhibitions, sales of memorabilia, guest speakers, video shows, sightseeing tours and a convention.

Bambi Kino - 50 years ago today!

The city of Hamburg celebrates the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' first gig in Hamburg this year.

For this reason, the New York-based band Bambi Kino (featuring members of Nada Surf, Maplewood, Cat Power and Moby) will be traveling to Hamburg to play 4 nights at the legendary Indra club. They will play the original setlist the Beatles played in 1960.
