Indiscreet PR proudly announces the DVD release of All My Loving, the classic BBC TV documentary from 1968, directed by Tony Palmer. The DVD will be released via the Voiceprint label on Monday, September 17th 2007.

Featuring contemporary interviews with many of the major Rock stars of the time, including The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Pink Floyd, Cream, Donovan, Eric Burdon, with some typically pithy contributions from Frank Zappa, and intercut with startling newsreel footage from the era, All My Loving is as challenging and controversial in 2007 as it was in its time.

When the programme was originally aired in 1968, it was acknowledged as a definitive statement of where Rock music was at, and one of the first such TV documentaries to consider the music and the times in which it was created. It affords an unusual insight into the counter-culture, and the whole rock and roll myth making process.

Featuring a fantastically stentorian voice-over by the actor Patrick Allen, it is a documentary that amuses, appals, informs and entertains in equal measure. 1968 was an incendiary year, with the global anti-Viet Nam war movement, US Civil Rights issues, the Prague Spring, Paris student demonstrations, and so many other societal and cultural events contributing to a genuinely feverish, hothouse atmosphere. It was also a time of unprecedented musical creativity, when 'Rock' music was breaking away from 'Pop', and new possibilities surfaced seemingly by the day.

The DVD also includes interviews with other scene-makers of the time - including Kit Lambert (the then-manager of The Who), Beatles publicist Derek Taylor, the author Anthony Burgess, and Tin Pan Alley publisher Eddie Rogers. All My Loving is never less than fascinating, and as a bonus feature, its director Tony Palmer is interviewed in January 2007.
