Recently the Quarrymen got together in a Liverpool recording studio to record a new song written by Vic Elmes, whose 1970s group Christie enjoyed a series of big hits — remember Yellow River?
A radical departure from the Quarrymen's usual 1950s rock'n'roll and skiffle, the new track is a country/rock style number entitled Never stop rockin' and rollin'!
Gary Danker, who is currently editing a full-length DVD on the Quarrymen for Horst Fascher's Star TV which is due out in Spring 2009, decided it was about time the Quarrymen entered the digital age and produced this great track which you can find to download for only 99 Euro cents - well under £1.00 or about $1.40 US!
To download you must sign up to kazzong.com and you need to have a ClickandBuy-Account but registration to both is free. The site is clunky and confusing but once you have signed up, go back to thequarrymen.de where there is a preview player, check "select all tracks" and then "BUY". Help to make the band as successful as their former members John, Paul and George — become part of the history yourself!
