Macca fans to re-create Band On The Run

On Saturday June 13th a group of Beatle/Macca fans will congregate at Osterley Park, Isleworth, Middlesex, to re-create the Band on the Run album sleeve, which was photographed there on 28th October 1973.

Fans will meet at 11 am at the entrance to Osterley, and will spend the day there.

The idea is for fans to get together, have a bite to eat, re-create the cover and generally have a day out together. The event will be filmed on the day.

The iconic cover photo depicts Paul, Linda, and Denny Laine plus Michael Parkinson, Kenny Lynch, James Coburn, Clement Freud, Christopher Lee and John Conteh, dressed as convicts caught in the spotlight of a prison searchlight.

Anyone who wishes to go to the house itself, a beautiful 18th century building, is quite welcome to do so.

Access to the park is free, but the prices for the house and gardens are as follows:

Gift Aid Admission (Standard Admission prices in brackets) House & garden: £8.40 (£7.60), child £4.20 (£3.80), family £21 (£18.90). Groups (£7.15). Garden only: £3.70 (£3.35), child £1.85 (£1.65). Car park (Standard Admission): £3.50. Park: free

The nearest London Underground station is Osterley and from there the park is a walk of approx 15-20 minutes away.

'Thanks for the badge and membership card. I wear the badge on my school uniform blazer, which is breaking the school dress code slightly as badges aren't allowed. I don't think the teachers mind much though as it's a band they like as well!' - Roisin Mulligan, age 15.
