The new Superstore will be set on two levels. The ground floor will sell products ranging from official Hard Days Night Hotel caps, pins, magnets, mugs and much more through to officially licensed Apple merchandise, some of which is exclusive to the Superstore.

A unique t-shirt showing the Beatles at their last performance in the nearby Cavern Club is available to buy along with Beatles posters, bookmarks, plectrums, clocks, pens and much more. There is even a statue of John Lennon, made from the metal of guns surrendered at the New York gun amnesty following his death, available to purchase.

The store also stocks official solo merchandise of the Fab Four with the widest range of official John Lennon licensed products anywhere in the world.

Located on the first floor is The Gallery, an exhibition space dedicated to rock'n'roll photography and art. During the course of the coming year, it will play host to a variety of high-profile exhibitions and events. Artwork and photography from those closely associated with the Beatles will displayed with key exhibitions from Kevin Cummings, Frank Herrman, Sir Peter Blake, Astrid Kircher and Klaus Voorman to name just a few.

Jonathan Davies, director, Hard Days Night Hotel commented: "This is the greatest Beatles Superstore in the world's greatest Beatles location; Mathew Street, Liverpool! Opening a store here helps to create the complete experience for any Beatles fan. The store is a must-visit during any trip to Liverpool and its location, right next to Hard Days Night Hotel, makes it the perfect way to find out more about Liverpool's Fab Four."

'Thanks for the badge and membership card. I wear the badge on my school uniform blazer, which is breaking the school dress code slightly as badges aren't allowed. I don't think the teachers mind much though as it's a band they like as well!' - Roisin Mulligan, age 15.
