The British Beatles Fan Club in association with Framework Publishing proudly presents Lennon Exclusive, a tribute magazine with a difference. Packed with features by top quality writers, including some of those who knew John personally, Lennon Exclusive covers John's life and career, from his childhood through to his final public performance in 1975.

Rather than re-tread familiar old ground with previously well-documented stories, Lennon Exclusive concentrates on some less familiar routes along Lennon's long and winding road.

Features includes:

  • Daddy Come Home
John's estranged father tells his side of the story in his own words, in a vintage interview from 1964
  • Lennon Before McCartney
Reminiscences by the Liverpool school friends with whom John formed his first band, The Quarrymen, which so impressed Paul McCartney and led to the formation of THE BEATLES
  • John Lennon, the man, the genius
Apersonal appreciation by Peter Doggett (GQ, Mojo, and acclaimed rock music critic)
  • John Lennon, the guitarist
Afascinating insight into the musician behind the legend
  • How I Won The War — behind the scenes of John's only straight-acting film role, by Martin O'Gorman (Mojo)
  • The Lennon Play
The forgotten 1968 stage production in which heralded the beginning of John's public self-healing process
  • Two Virgins
John & Yoko and nude full frontal; the story of the most controversial record sleeve of all time
  • Political Lennon
A concise appraisal of Lennon, the radical, by acclaimed rock writer Mark Paytress
  • Lennon in the 70s
Reminiscences of one man's Lennon encounters, by Chris Charlesworth, former U.S. editor of Melody Maker
  • Lennon vs Sir Lew
The fascinating story of John's last stage appearance, in which he ingeniously insulted Sir Lew Grade, the man who owned The Beatles' songwriting catalogue, at Sir Lew's own tribute gala concert
  • John the father
How Lennon overcame the challenges of parenthood
  • Lost Lennon songs
10 remarkable unheard recordings that remain locked in the vaults, including John's final song in which he admits to having contemplated suicide!
  • John Lennon now
An imagined Q&A interview with John as he might have been in 2005.

PLUS some 'tantalizing vignettes' including two mind-boggling drawings by John while under the influence of LSD, and how John almost played Jesus for the BBC.

Lennon Exclusive is lavishly illustrated throughout with exclusive photographs and items of rare Lennon memorabilia.

'Thanks for the badge and membership card. I wear the badge on my school uniform blazer, which is breaking the school dress code slightly as badges aren't allowed. I don't think the teachers mind much though as it's a band they like as well!' - Roisin Mulligan, age 15.
