Inside Abbey Road

BBFC Member Paul Clements sent us this review of his recent trip inside Abbey Road Studios:
Just for anybody going on The future Abbey Road Studio Tours...

I went on one of the special anniversary tours with my 10 year old son Dylan.

Challen Studio Piano
Put your hand up fast when they ask if there are any pianists in the room as they want 3 volunteers to play the end of 'A Day In The Life'...on the original pianos used! It's only one chord and they'll show you how to play it!

'The Mrs.Mills' Steinway Upright
Also, take your camera as they allow you to photograph/film all the instruments (Pianos/Organs/Keyboards/ and Ringos ashtray!), microphones and mixing desks on display in Studio 2.

Vintage Mixing Desk
The only thing you can't film is the lecture itself which by the way is excellent...and you get to sit on the famous Abbey Rd. 'Red Chairs'!

A fantastic day..and I wouldn't have missed it for the world...!
