The band are in London for a private personal appearance, but as they have not played in London since 2005, they decided to do a public gig - and chose The Castle.

THE BAND - the Original guys!

Colin Hanton - Drums (1956 - 59) Colin was in the final line up before the band changed their name to The Beatles along with John, Paul, George and John Duff Lowe. This line up recorded "Inspite Of All The Danger" and "That'll Be The Day" which appeared on Anthology 1. His original white Broadway Drum Kit is on exhibition in The Beatles Story Museum in Liverpool.

Len Garry - Guitar & Vocals. Len played Tea-Chest Bass from 1956 to 1958.

Rod Davis - Guitar & Vocals. Rod played Banjo in the band from 1956 to mid 1958.

Saturday 6th July 1957: The day John met Paul

John Duff Lowe - Keys. John was invited by Paul to play piano in 1958 and was on the Percy Phillips' recording mentioned above.

This gig will be promoted by The Quarrymen, The British Beatles Fan Club, Beatle's Coffee Shop and will have press and radio coverage.

The week before, Friday 5th October the BBC will be marking the DVD release of the "Magical Mystery Tour" with an Arena Special.
