50
years ago this Christmas, the Beatles embarked on a 30-show variety stage
production at the Astoria Cinema in Finsbury Park, London. Over 100,000 tickets
sold for this special pantomime-cum-live gig where the Beatles provided their
unique Liverpudlian quirk through various light-hearted skits that would develop
into content for the films Hard Day’s Night and Help!
To
celebrate this anniversary, Hove’s very own Beatles tribute act,
The Starrlite Beatles, will be returning to the Brunswick on the 21st December
to bring the magic of the Fab Four’s Christmas Show, just as the Beatles were on
the cusp of Beatlemania.
As well as transporting audiences back to 1963,
the Starrlite’s will be taking their hometown fans on a journey through the
Beatles’ complete timeline, from Hamburg to Let it Be and into each members solo
careers post-1970 after the break-up of one of the most popular and influential
bands of all time.
Come and celebrate Christmas with The Starrlite
Beatles at the Brunswick on the 21st December and you are guaranteed a fantastic
evening of Fab Festive Fun!
