The
Trembling Wilburys are hosting their 3rd annual Xmas Xtravaganza at
Dingwalls in Camden, London on Wednesday 16th December. This is the one
Christmas party gig you don't want to miss and one of BBFC's favourite
events - last year's show was a fantastic night, acclaimed as one of the
best shows of the year with a great turnout.
The
Trembling Wilburys are the must-see tribute to legendary supergroup the
Traveling Wilburys, featuring classic songs like "Handle With Care",
"End OF The Line" and "Last Night" plus an array of solo hits by George
Harrison/Beatles, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne/ELO.
The band features Glen Knowler as the living double of George Harrison
("I thought I'd seen a ghost!" - Joe Brown), and Dave Collison who
perfectly reproduces the Big O's unique vocal style, along with a superb
band of top musicians. These include drummer & occasional BBFC
magazine contributor Dave Stark (of SongLink fame), who not only was
made a LIPA Companion by Paul McCartney in 2006 but is also the official
deputy drummer for The Quarrymen, having stood in for Colin Hanton in
London back in 2012. If you haven't seen the Wilburys yet, this your
big chance!
