32 years ago today we, in Great Britain, woke up to the news that John Lennon had been taken from us. The shock and pain of that news will never go away.
But neither will the music. John's spirit, his message of love and peace, and the joy that he brought to the world with his music will live on forever.
In 2010, Colin Hall, custodian at Mendips, paid what is probably the best tribute to John ever. As night start to fall on the evening of December 8, he turned the light on in John's bedroom and left it shining through the night. It was still shining on the morning of December 9 ... a reminder that, within our hearts, John will always "shine on".
