Christmas with the Beatles

One of our members, Alan Millen, has several contributions on our Fan Art page including this song which we added to the page a few years ago.  However, the tune is catchy and we thought we'd dust it off and share it again. Thanks Alan for sharing!

Beatle Fan Volunteers needed for Cross the Scan Art Project

The Cross the Scan international art project is the brainchild of two French artists known as “les Nivaux”.

They have painstakingly scanned piece by piece the famous Abbey Road Zebra crossing in London.  The 400 scans when joined together can fully recreate the crossing in any location.

Beginning in October 2015, the giant image will be installed in famous places of the biggest cities in the world such as Paris, Roma, London, Liverpool, Berlin, Hong Kong, NY, Mexico, Montevideo, Sydney, Tokyo,  and Peking.

For the project to succeed, they need help.  They are seeking volunteers from all around the world to help to help.  If you are interested, contact them by email or on their Facebook page.

The video below gives more information about the project.

Christmas Song from a Fan

Have you checked out our Fan Art page recently?  We have some really talented Beatles fans out there.  Our very first contributor, Allan Millen, has just sent in a timely addition to the gallery - a Christmas song celebrating the Beatles.

Allan says "This video of an original song (I am the lyricist) revisits that sense of anticipation and appreciation. The video was made in 2011, on the 10th anniversary of George’s departure from the material world. I rounded up some friends, we came up with a simple concept and had ourselves a fantastic afternoon. Spot the original 1968 Corgi toy “yellow submarine”, which one of the participants gave to me as a present that day."

Visit the Fan Art Page to see other contributions and why not send in one of your own. Instructions are on Fan Art page.
